
Assessment Teams Will Travel Through Boardman in Response to Storm Damage
Assessment Teams will be traveling throughout Boardman Township in response to storm damage received from the September 4th 2022. Assessments will be done over the course of several days. The Mahoning County Emergency Management Office will be leading teams throughout Boardman Township and will be knocking on doors and may contact people by phone. Boardman Township has been working in conjunction with EMA officials to document damage from the storm event in order to apply for state and possible federal assistance for residents impacted in Boardman Township.
September 26 Board Meeting Rescheduled
The Boardman Township Board of Trustees has canceled the Monday, September 26, 2022, board meeting and has rescheduled it for Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 5:30 p.m.

One-Time Flood/Storm Damage Trash Pick-Up
In order to help with the cleanup from the storm event that took place on September 4th 2022, Boardman Township has partnered with Republic Services to provide a one-time trash pickup for items that were damaged in the storm.

- No tires or batteries
- All loose items small enough to bag should be bagged
- Carpet rolled tied or taped no longer than 4’
- Lumber/construction debris no longer than 4’
- Cardboard boxes broken down
- All mattress bagged and sealed
Republic asks that individual disposal items weigh 50lbs or less for safety reasons. The Township understands this may not be possible in all cases, if not, a truck with added manpower will be sent in those cases. Please indicate in your email any situations that may exceed the weight limit.
In addition to the above bulk cleanup at the residence, Republic is offering free direct disposal at the landfill up to 1 ton. Any Boardman Township resident may direct haul to the landfill, Carbon Limestone Landfill at 8100 South Stateline Road, Lowellville, OH 44436.
Any cleanup debris disposed over 1 ton, up to 3 tons, will be charged at $25/ton. Again, the 1st ton is free of charge, then $25/ton up to 3 tons of debris or trash. This cleanup service will be through the month of September. Simply show current utility bill of any kind showing residency along with a valid ID with matching address.
Report Damage From Sept. 4 Severe Weather Event
In response to the severe weather event that was responsible for flash flooding throughout various neighborhoods and a EF0 Tornado in Boardman Township, Mahoning County Ohio, Boardman Township is asking residents who experienced damage related to the storm to use the dedicated number of 330-716-0038 and leave your name, address, phone number and type of damage to property. We are collecting this information in conjunction with the Mahoning County Emergency Management Office to try and get a disaster declaration.
Please keep any photo or video of storm damage. As this process develops further assessment teams may contact those who call-in for on-site visits.
Now Accepting Applications for Entry Level Police Officer Exam
Boardman Township is accepting applications for a Full-Time Entry Level Police Officer. Completed applications will be accepted beginning Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 9-4 PM, Monday – Friday until Friday, October 7, 2022 (except weekends and holidays).

Ohio’s New Fireworks Law Takes Effect June 1
Beginning July 1, 2022, Ohioans can legally discharge 1.4 G consumer fireworks in Ohio. However, discharge is only permitted on specific days and only at specific times.
