FACILITIES COORDINATOR

Boardman Township is seeking applicants to fill the position of Full-Time Facilities Coordinator.

Starting Rate: $24.50/hr

Applicants Must Possess Skills in:
  • Use of office equipment; light equipment operation; use of bench and/or hand tools; construction techniques; plumbing; HVAC work; electrical wiring installation and repair; use and operation of buffer and other custodial and maintenance equipment; motor vehicle operation.
  • Applicants must also have the ability to:interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, picture, or schedule form; deal with variety of variables within somewhat unfamiliar context; recognize unusual or threatening conditions and take appropriate action; travel to and gain access to work site; develop and maintain effective working relationships; determine material and equipment needs; complete routine forms; respond to routine inquiries from public and/or officials; communicate effectively; assist as needed in maintenance and repair of equipment and systems contained in township facilities; to work in physically difficult and rigorous conditions, including harsh temperatures and weather; to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

DIRECTOR OF ZONING AND DEVELOPMENT

Boardman Township is seeking applicants to fill the position of Director of Zoning and Development.

Applicants Must Possess Skills in:
  • Experience in planning, zoning, architecture, engineering, public or business administration or similar field with management experience; minimum of two year college studies in related field; or any equivalent combination or experience, education, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Knowledge and experience with Ohio Zoning Regulations and Ohio Revised Code emphasis in section 503, 504, 505 and 519 is preferred.
  • Applicants must also have the ability to:Carry out instructions in written, oral, or picture form; complete routine forms and prepare accurate documentation; compile and prepare reports; respond to routine inquiries from public and/or officials; handle sensitive inquiries from and contacts with officials and general public; deal with problems involving several variables within familiar context; define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; calculate fractions, decimals, and percentages; maintain records according to established procedures; proofread technical documentation and building site plans; communicate effectively; understand variety of written and/or verbal communications; develop and maintain effective working relationships; travel and gain access to work site.

PROPERTY ENFORCEMENT OFFICER

Boardman Township is seeking applicants to fill the position of Full-Time Property Enforcement Officer.

Applicants Must Possess Skills in:
  • Typing; data entry; Microsoft Office; digital camera computer and tablet operation; use of modern office equipment.
  • Applicants must also have the ability to: interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, picture, or schedule form; deal with problems involving several variables within familiar context; define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; calculate fractions, decimals, and percentages; prepare accurate documentation; prepare routine correspondence; maintain records according to established procedures; communicate effectively; understand a variety of written and/or verbal communications; answer routine telephone inquiries; cooperate with co-workers on group projects; travel to and gain access to work site.
