The Boardman Township Trustees are seeking to fill the position of Full Time Laborer in the Road Department. Applicants are required to possess a valid Ohio driver’s CDL A or B License or be willing to obtain a CDL within 6 months of employment and pass a pre-employment physical, drug test and background check.

Summer Employment

BOARDMAN TOWNSHIP ROAD DEPARTMENT

The Boardman Township Trustees are accepting applications for summer employment with the Road Department. Ideal candidates are high school or college students on summer break that hold a valid driver’s license and want to work outside. Employment generally runs from June through August and consists of a 40 hour work week. Applicants are required to pass a preemployment physical, drug test and background check.

Full Time Mechanic

BOARDMAN TOWNSHIP ROAD DEPARTMENT

The Boardman Township Trustees are seeking applicants to fill the position of Full Time Mechanic. Applicants must possess a high school diploma or the equivalent and valid Ohio driver’s CDL A or B License or be willing to obtain a CDL within 6 months of employment.

ASE Certification, Emergency Vehicle Technician Certification and Diesel Mechanic Certificate or any combination of the three a plus.

Applicants must also pass a pre-employment physical and drug test and background check. Equipment and Job Location: The job requires the ability to trouble shoot and repair all township owned vehicles which include Fire Trucks, Heavy Equipment, Dump Trucks, Police Fleet Vehicles and various smaller equipment like snow blowers, mowers, etc. The work site encompasses the 25 squire mile limits of Boardman Township. Workers may be frequently exposed to cold, wet and /or hot humid conditions.
