Halloween Trick-or-Treating will take place in Boardman on Tuesday, October 31 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Please keep in mind these safety precautions:

• Make sure kids’ costumes are loose-fitting and flame-resistant.
• Avoid masks that obscure vision.
• Young children should always be accompanied by an adult or older sibling.
• Carry a flashlight and put reflective tape on costumes so children can be seen.
• Examine all treats for choking hazards and tampering before eating them.
• Accept only factory-wrapped treats. Avoid eating homemade treats made by strangers.

Boardman Township Fire Department is hosting a very special Open House event to celebrate 100 Years of Dedication and Service! This event will take place on October 14, 11 AM – 3 PM at the Fire Department located at 7440 Market Street, Boardman OH.

Attendees will be able to:

• View fire trucks on display
• Watch fire safety demonstrations
• Have a meet and greet with firefighters
• Enjoy kids’ activities
• Enjoy light refreshments

The Boardman Township Civil Service Commission is offering testing services for the position of FF/Paramedic and FF/Paramedic Trainee (EMT-B) through the National Testing Network, Inc. (NTN).

On August 14 at 5:00 pm, the Boardman Township Board of Trustees will conduct a Public Hearing as required to update the Boardman Township Zoning Resolution’s relevant adopted development standards, requirements and regulations for drive-through uses and to update Article 3: Review Procedures and all references to the Site Plan Review process.  The hearing materials are available here.
