Trick-or-Treat in Boardman is Sunday, Oct. 31 — 5:00 p.m.-7:00p.m.
Halloween Trick-or-Treating will take place in Boardman on Sunday, October 31 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Please keep in mind these safety precautions:
- Make sure kids’ costumes are loose-fitting and flame-resistant.
- Avoid masks that obscure vision.
- Young children should always be accompanied by an adult or older sibling.
- Carry a flashlight and put reflective tape on costumes so children can be seen.
- Examine all treats for choking hazards and tampering before eating them.
- Accept only factory-wrapped treats. Avoid eating homemade treats made by strangers.
Township Opposed to Closing Brookwood Access from Market St
ODOT has plans for a change at the intersection of Brookwood/Route 7 Market Street to close Brookwood’s access from Market. Boardman Township is opposed to such actions and has sent two letters to their office voicing concerns.

Don’t Miss the Fire Department Open House on Oct 2
The Boardman Fire Department is holding an Open House at Fire Station 71 on Saturday, October 2, 2021.
There will be many educational and fun activities for the whole family. You can take a tour of the station and watch extrication and live burn demonstrations. Children can enjoy the Fire Truck Bounce Slide, the Mahoning County Pop-Up Library, coloring books and more. Refreshments will also be served.

Aqua Customer Service Center Experiences Technical Issues Due to Flooding
Due to recent storms and flooding in the Northeast, Aqua is experiencing technical issues that are impacting the Customer Service Centers.
The 24/7 toll-free customer service number — 1.877.987.2782— is operational but they are asking customers only contact Aqua for emergencies only at this time. (ex: no water, turn off requests for major leak repairs, reports of watermain breaks.)
They are actively working to fix the issue and an update will be given when operations return to normal.

The purpose of this meeting is to adjourn into Executive Session for Personnel (Police Department employment).
Special Trustees Meeting to Be Held August 10
The Boardman Township Board of Trustees has scheduled a Special Meeting on Tuesday, August 10, at 5:30 p.m. at the Boardman Township Government Center, 8299 Market Street.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the Opioid Settlement Agreement and to adjourn into Executive Session for Personnel (Fire Department promotion).
Wildwood Drive Between Market and Glenwood Closed to Through Traffic
The Boardman Township Trustees find it necessary to close Wildwood Drive between Market Street (State Route 7) and Glenwood Avenue to through traffic due to the condition of the culvert. Wildwood Drive will be closed on July 29, 2021 until further notice.
Traffic will be detoured along Ewing Road.
