
Mark Ragozine
Administrator
Mark Ragozine is a public sector professional with extensive experience in municipal government, economic development, and regional planning. A lifelong resident of the Mahoning Valley, he has built his career around strengthening local communities through effective governance, strategic investment, and responsive public service. In his new role as Township Administrator for Boardman Township, Ragozine brings experience in both executive leadership and hands-on management of municipal operations.
Most recently, Ragozine served as Safety Service Director for the City of Girard, where he acted as the chief administrative official overseeing the Police, Fire, and Public Works departments. In that role, he managed municipal operations, personnel administration, labor relations, and departmental budgets, while advising the Mayor and City Council on policy, fiscal, and operational matters. His responsibilities also included oversight of capital improvements, administration of state and federal grant programs, and coordination with regional and state partners to advance infrastructure and public safety initiatives.
Prior to his service in Girard, Ragozine was the Economic Development Program Manager at the Eastgate Regional Council of Governments, where he led regional planning and investment efforts across multiple counties. He directed the development and implementation of the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) and supported the successful acquisition of millions of dollars in grant funding for infrastructure, broadband expansion, and economic development projects. Earlier in his career, he served as an Economic Development Planner and a member of Girard City Council, gaining both technical expertise and legislative experience.
Ragozine has also contributed to higher education as an Adjunct Instructor of Political Science at Eastern Gateway Community College, where he taught courses in American government. He holds a Master of Public Administration from Ohio University’s Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Youngstown State University.
He and his wife, Mackenzie, were married in June 2025. A lifelong Mahoning Valley resident, Ragozine values the opportunity to serve the community he has long called home. An avid sports fan and fitness enthusiast, he enjoys golfing, traveling with his wife, and exploring the local dining scene, and looks forward to becoming an active presence in the Boardman community.
