Storm Cleanup Update: Brush Chipping Program Progress
Heavy Storm, Massive Response: Boardman Crews Work 10-Hour Days to Clean Up Unexpected Damage
It’s been just over nine days since the severe tornado and macro-burst hit our community. The storm caused a great deal more damage than any of us expected, but our dedication to restoring Boardman Township remains our top priority.
To help our residents recover, our Road Department crews have been on the ground working 10 hours a day to clear storm debris residents place in front yards near the curb. We are proud to provide this brush chipping service no cost, as we know storm cleanup has been stressful on our residents.
Given the sheer volume of debris left behind, this massive undertaking will take some time. We estimate it will take about five to six more weeks to complete this effort..
Because of the extreme heat conditions and long work days, we are trying to manage crew schedules to keep them safe, healthy, and sharp so they can get the job done right. We truly appreciate your patience, support, and understanding as we work through every neighborhood.
We will continue to provide regular progress updates here.Thank you for helping us keep Boardman Township strong and beautiful
