Matt Gambrel

Trustee

Matt Gambrel is a lifelong resident of Boardman, having graduated from Boardman High School in 2000. He continued his education at Ohio University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in 2005, and later graduated with a juris doctorate from Cleveland State in 2008. With 16 years of experience as a practicing attorney, Matt specializes in probate law, focusing on estate planning, estate administration, and adult incompetent guardianships as a sole practitioner.

Matt and his wife, Megan, whom he met in law school, are proud parents of two daughters, Allie and Erin. He has actively contributed to the community through his involvement with the Boardman Lions Club, where he served as past president. Under his leadership, the club provided winter coats and boots for hundreds of needy children, offered free eye screenings, and established the first food pantry at Boardman Center Intermediate School to support local families in need.

In addition to his work with the Lions Club, Matt has served on the Boardman Schools Fund for Educational Excellence for six years, including a tenure as immediate past president, distributing over $20,000 in grants to teachers for innovative classroom projects. He is also a board member of the Boardman Civics Association and a member of both the Mahoning County and Ohio State Bar Associations. Previously, he served as an alternate for the Boardman Zoning Appeals Board and is a member of the Lawrence County Sportsman’s Association.

As a township trustee, Matt is dedicated to serving the Boardman community and fostering its growth and well-being.
