Fire Prevention Code Enforcement

The Boardman Fire Prevention Bureau is responsible for code enforcement of the 2015 International Fire Code and applicable NFPA standards. Periodic inspections are conducted on business occupancies, multi-family dwellings, places of assembly, public and private schools, and day care centers. The Bureau is also responsible for monitoring public fireworks displays, review of construction drawings and inspections for certificates of occupancy.

Board of Appeals
If a property owner or occupant disputes the factual findings of a Boardman Township Fire Inspector, the applicant may file an appeal with the Boardman Township Fire Board of Appeals.  If the applicant does not dispute the factual finding of the inspector, but wishes to seek a variance of the requirements of the local fire code, the applicant may seek a variance from the Boardman Township Fire Board of Appeals.
